Grinnell College selects one professor each lear to deliver a lecture to the faculty in a special event each year. The lecturer is chosen based on "a distinguished body of scholarly work, including artistic production or performance, that makes a significant contribution to one's field or has a broad impact on the scholarly community. The title of the talk, given on February 23, 2026 was "Music Beyond the Human: fostering Respect, Engaging the Imagination."
